The packet material for the meeting are here.
While the big news I put up a few days ago, we still had a regular business meeting for about 40 minutes earlier in the week.
During the Executive director report, our interim director Michael Crose reported on meeting with commissioners from the Thurston , Mason, and Grays Harbor counties. He specifically cited the Grays Harbor meeting as productive. He said that all of the Grays Harbor commissioner were interested in seeing Ocean Shores join into TRL.
Crose went on to say he’ll be attended a public forum in Ocean Shores on the future of the library this Sunday (tomorrow). There is a ballot measure coming up in Ocean Shores for a .22 levy in to fund library services, but not necessarily with Timberland.
During the financial report, Rich Homchick said that our intake of property taxes are about where they need to be and that fines are still chugging along at $30,000 a month.
We also voted to approve items for a surplus sale July 17 at the Service Center in Tumwater. The only note I made for that was that bulding managers were able to pre-review surplus items to make sure there wasn’t something another library wanted to surplus that they could use.
