Notes from packet for May 2 Timberland Library trustees meeting at North Mason

The North Mason Library will host the next trustee meeting this Wednesday night at 7p. The entire packet is embedded below and here are a few notes:

1. (Page 23) Timber harvest tax is still down (3 percent of budget vs. 23 percent at this time last year). Though, the district is still doing good overall. Property tax is at 31 of budgeted (30 percent at same point last year) and overall we’re at 24 (22 percent at same point last year).

2. (Page 39) The staff report on the logo is very much worth reading. Short story, no one really knows what our logo represents. From the sampling of other library logos in the staff report, it seems not having a book or books in the logo hurts a bit.

Thank you for posting this! I wasn’t able to make it to the meeting and I’m glad that I can access this information easily.

    Thanks!

  2. You’re very welcome.

You’ll be happy to know that we’ll be getting the packets electronically next month. While we won’t be taking the next step and posting them online at trl.org, getting them via email rather than paper means I can post them on Thursday or Friday rather than Monday.
