Good news in King County, the levy lid is probably lifted

King County voters look like they’re ready to increase the levy lid on their rural library district. A similar effort this time last year failed in the Timberland system’s five counties.

Also very similar to our vote down here last year, there is a concurrent annexation vote happening in Renton, which is also passing.

Even though voters throughout the Timberland system rejected the levy lid lift last year, Shelton voters chose to annex into the library district by an overwhelming majority, while Mason County voters also voted to lift the lid.
